Moss The Merchant is here: gamble for a rare weapon

Update (Oct 25): Moss now shows up in Lorencia (142, 137), inside the town, at the same times.

Anyone who played MU back in the day remembers him: Moss The Merchant, the gambling merchant, now shows up on OpenMU. He doesn't stay put: he arrives 6 times a day and leaves after 15 minutes. Whoever is there picks a card, pays in Zen and gets a random weapon of that type.

It may be a common weapon, it may be excellent… and, with some luck, one of the 5 rare items only Moss has: Beuroba, Chromatic Staff, Air Lyn Bow, Stryker Scepter and Raven Stick.

When he shows up

Every day, every 4 hours: 02:00, 06:00, 10:00, 14:00, 18:00 and 22:00 UTC. He stays 15 minutes, and a golden notice in the middle of the screen announces his arrival. The times in your time zone are on the events page.

How to get there

1. A character from level 10, with 20,000,000 Zen per gamble and free inventory space.
2. Open the teleport list (M key on PC or the portal button on mobile) and pick Lorencia (2,000 Zen).
3. Moss stands inside the town, about 20 steps from where you arrive, at coordinates 142, 137.
4. Click him, pick the card (Sword/Mace/Spear/Glove, Staff, Bow/Crossbow, Scepter or Stick) and confirm. The weapon drops into your bag right away.

Rules

• 20 million Zen per gamble, any card.
• Everything is random: level +0 to +6, luck, skill and options. Sometimes it comes excellent and, very rarely, as the card's special item.
• Rage Fighters can gamble too: the gloves (Sacred Glove, Storm Hard Glove and Piercing Blade Glove) come from the Sword/Mace/Spear card.
• 10 gambles per day per character; the count resets at midnight Brasília time (03:00 UTC).
• Short on Zen? Sell that forgotten item from your vault on the Market. And a weapon that isn't for your class can be turned into Zen or jewels there too.
